The TEROS 31 tensiometer is compact in size and responds quickly, making it particularly suitable for use in laboratories. Its measuring head is only 0.5cm2It can densely measure the water potential distribution of undisturbed soil, as well as measure smaller volume soil samples with minimal disturbance to the soil. The TEROS 31 sensor can be installed in any position and direction, simply drill a 5mm hole with the matching micro spiral drill and insert the tension meter. For over twenty years, METER Germany (formerly UMS) has sold tens of thousands of tensiometer sensors. Based on the T5 sensor with years of R&D and production experience, TEROS 31 has continuously improved. It not only inherits the accurate, sensitive, and compact characteristics of the T5 tensiometer, but also further enhances the compatibility performance of METER related equipment. It can be connected to the ZENTRA Cloud platform for more convenient use.
main features
Suitable for laboratory samples, including soil columns, soil cores, and ring knife sampling.
The ultra fast response time is only 5 seconds, requiring a small amount of water for measurement, and can quickly respond to subtle changes in soil water potential.
The ceramic head at the top of the sensor is only 0.5 cm2Improve accuracy and measurement speed. Narrow measurement spaces are also applicable.
Minimal disturbance to the soil, only a small hole with a diameter of 5mm needs to be drilled.
Usually, the range of water potential measurement is 50~-85 kPa. Standardized operation can delay boiling and expand the range of water potential measurement to as low as -150 kPa.
It can be installed in any direction and at any angle.
It can be inserted into the soil surface or completely buried in the soil.
3.5mm headphone jack, plug and play, easy to connect to ZL6 series data acquisition.
No need for complex settings, view almost real-time data anytime, anywhere through ZENTRA Cloud.
The transparent shaft is easy to observe.
measuring principle The soil water potential can be transmitted to the inside of the sensor through a ceramic cup, causing changes in water pressure inside the sensor. The pressure sensor located inside the sensor outputs a simulated signal to obtain the corresponding water potential. |
